Privacy Policy
This Policy explains how YEMINAH may collect, use, retain and share personal information when you use our websites, indoor-navigation experiences, applications, accounts, contribution tools and business services. The exact data used depends on the features you choose and the permissions you grant.
Last updated: September 7, 2026
1. Information we may collect
Account information. Such as email address, authentication records, workspace membership and account preferences when you create or use an account.
Location and navigation information. Such as approximate or precise device location, venue, floor, route anchors, destination choices, route progress and confidence signals when needed for navigation or mapping.
Device and technical information. Such as browser/app version, device type, operating system, network state, permission state, crash diagnostics and security events.
Camera, sensor and nearby-device information. Where you explicitly enable a feature, YEMINAH may process camera frames, motion/sensor signals, Bluetooth or other nearby-device signals to support positioning, mapping or verification. Availability varies by platform.
Voice information. If you use voice input, audio or a transcript may be processed to understand a destination or command. YEMINAH's product policy is to keep raw voice transient by default unless a separate feature clearly tells you otherwise.
Contributions. Such as photos, reviews, corrections, storefront identifications, accessibility observations, queue reports and other information you intentionally submit.
Business information. If you represent a venue, store or brand, we may process business contact details, workspace roles, claims, campaign data and service communications.
2. How we use information
- Provide indoor search, positioning, routing and venue discovery.
- Determine whether a route or position is trustworthy enough to display.
- Verify, reconcile and improve venue data and user contributions.
- Operate accounts, business workspaces and support services.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, manipulation and security incidents.
- Measure reliability and improve product performance.
- Show eligible offers or recommendations where that feature is enabled.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect users, venues and YEMINAH.
3. Location privacy
Indoor navigation can require location-related information. YEMINAH is designed to avoid pretending that a precise location exists when confidence is insufficient.
Persistent, named cross-session location or store history is not intended to be the default. If YEMINAH introduces a feature that stores such history for your account, it should be presented as a separate opt-in feature with its own controls.
4. Camera and mapping privacy
Camera access is opt-in and feature-specific. Mapping features are designed to extract structured venue observations rather than identify people. YEMINAH does not intend to use facial recognition for ordinary venue mapping. A submitted photo may be retained as evidence where needed to verify a contribution.
5. Optional profile information
Optional profile or preference questions are voluntary. Demographic or life-stage information must not be inferred from your name, voice, photo, routes, stores visited or shopping behavior merely to complete a profile. Providing optional profile information does not increase contributor points or reputation.
6. Legal bases and consent
Depending on the jurisdiction and feature, processing may rely on your consent, performance of a service you requested, legitimate interests such as security and product reliability, compliance with law, or another lawful basis. Device permissions are not a substitute for any consent that applicable law separately requires.
7. Sharing
We may share information with service providers that help operate hosting, authentication, analytics, communications, mapping or security; with venues or merchants where needed to deliver a requested business or offer interaction; and with authorities where legally required.
We do not treat personal information as something to sell indiscriminately. Any future advertising or data-sharing model must follow this Policy, applicable law and the permissions presented to the user.
8. Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, legal obligations, security, dispute resolution, fraud prevention or maintaining reliable venue history. Different records may have different retention periods. Raw or highly sensitive sensor data should be minimized where structured derived data is sufficient.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, including access controls, restricted administrative privileges and security testing. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Your choices and rights
You can control device permissions through your operating system and may decline optional profile fields. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or information about processing.
Use the contact route described on the Legal & Contact page for privacy requests. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
11. Children
YEMINAH is not designed to intentionally collect sensitive personal information from children without appropriate authorization. Age requirements and parental-consent rules may vary by deployment and jurisdiction.
12. International processing
Service providers and infrastructure may process information in more than one country. Where required, YEMINAH will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
13. Cookies and local storage
YEMINAH may use cookies, local storage or similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences and product operation. See the Cookie Policy for more information.
14. Changes
We may update this Policy as the Service changes. Material changes should be communicated appropriately, and the updated date will appear at the top of this page.
